Kristi in the Morning

I always knew my father wrote music when he was younger, and that he even had a contract with Nashville. That all ended a very long time ago, but I recently fell across some of his songs he wrote and recorded, namely his love song, "Kristi in the Morning." The lyrics that follow are copywritten, but I just wanted to put his songs into the new millenium. Enjoy.

The sun goes down every night,
And in my mind I hold you tight
And dream of you
Till the morning.

If I should die before I wake
I pray the lord my soul to take
To be with you,
Kristi in the morning.

Birds fly high,
So why can't I be with you,
Kristi in the morning?

With every breath I breathe your name
Hoping you'll be back again
And wake to find you here
In the morning.

Hear the words I want to say,
Kristi I'll be back some day
To share a dream with you,
Kristi in the morning.

Birds fly high,
So why can't I be with you,
Kristi in the morning?

Morning rain,
I'll be back again to be with you,
Kristi in the morning.
Kristi in the morning.

Please record this song. The world needs to hear it.
