Working My Way Down The List

IT'S OFFICIAL. I've been, as my mother so eloquently puts it, blackballed from yet another restaurant. I put in my two-week notice at Ruby Tuesday -- to which they responded, not with a meeting or any questions whatsoever about why I was quitting, but by taking me off the schedule after the first of my two weeks was over -- to work another job where I could utilize my skills better. That process was taking a lot longer than I had hoped, so I applied to work at the Ruby Tuesday at 40-42. After they spoke with my old manager they said, "Based on what Fred had to say, we're going to pass on the opportunity to hire you." Fred was my old GM. I asked what he could have possibly said about me that was so terrible, and she said she couldn't say.
Mother.

I asked her if she had spoken to the district manager, which is what she said she would do and why I was told to call back later, and she said she had not because, "Your district manager didn't work with you, Fred did."

"Well," I said, "my district manager did work with me, and I believe she would have more positive things to say about me than Fred." After I called Fred -- he ignored my phone calls for over thirty minutes -- to get the district manager's number, I called her and left a message stating I was confused how a server with the highest sales in a store and the best personality was being banned from working at a Ruby Tuesday. She hasn't called back. I will.

sounds really messed up I hope this all worked out ok
